Whomever was naming certain rose varieties certainly had fun (perhaps a cocktail or two). I mean, how to stay serious when mid-sentence you realize you just told your rose farmer in Ecuador or Columbia: “Can you ship 50 sexy Reds by the end of the week”?

Of course you can. Flowers have been all the rage in the past few years in gourmet restaurants, although they have been part of ancient’s cuisine (or poor boy’s cuisine) much longer. They can be part of the main dish or garnish, but few precautions have to be made:

Daily, we get to see many different messages and notes accompanying our arrangements. Some are great. Some make us laugh, other makes us cry, and we can only imagine what a great stir fabulous card makes, on the receiving end. Our flowers are gorgeous, but they are also very personal. “I never thought of sending flowers” is the sentence uttered by none other than a good friend of mine. She is a successful attorney and is used to sending small gifts to some of her clients and business partners, yet sending flowers was something reserved for her mom, on Mother’s Day.

Recently we have had quite a few of our customers come in and complaint about killing one plant (or all) and claiming they have a "black thumb". Trust us, it is NOT hard keeping plants alive. All it takes is a little bit of sunshine, little bit of rain, and tiny bit of love. Yes, you have to actually like your plants to keep them alive...
